In a recent interview for French radio station NRJ the British singer has excited fans with news of a new single to be released later this year.

But she doused speculation that a new album would follow saying "There will be a new song, probably coming out at the end of the year, if I didn't write my own songs I'd be out next week with a new album, but because I write my own songs I have to take time and live a bit. There was a good two years between my first and second album, so it will be the same this time."

So why a new song and no album? Well rumours are abound that she will be following in the footsteps of other British singers Shirley Bassey, Paul McCartney and Sheena Easton and performing the theme to the new James Bond movie.

Details of the song are pretty thin on the ground but all the evidence adds up to a silhouetted Adele doing a sexy dance to the opening credits. And if the six kilos she has lost since turning vegetarian is anything to go by those opening credits could well be the best part of the film. Speaking to the BBC's Radio 1 she said "I can find another way of getting all the stuff out of meat that you need. I hate that tofu stuff though... It's rank."

Let's just hope she doesn't take it too far and keeps a few of those sexy curves.
